Ich finde es teils erschreckend, wie viele Menschen hier in den Kommentaren nur betonen wie sehr auf die Auslastung eines Malinois geachtet werden muss. Ich habe selbst einen und habe ihn zu Beginn auch nur trainiert und bin stundenlang mit ihm unterwegs gewesen und habe mich gefragt, wieso dieser Hund einfach nicht müde wird und immer mehr von mir verlangt. Tatsächlich hat es etwas Zeit und einen sehr guten Trainer benötigt, bis wir verstanden haben, dass Ruhe für diese Rasse tatsächlich wichtiger ist als man denkt. Wenn wir zwei actionreiche Tage hatten mit viel Kopfarbeit und Sport, folgen zwei Tage mit entspannten Spaziergänge und vielen Ruhepausen und sehr viel Schlaf. Seit dem habe ich einen super entspannten Hund, der sich von alleine zurückziehen kann, wenn es ihm zu viel wird. Während er vorher immer unbedingt dabei sein MUSSTE und nur kontrollieren wollte, da sein Erregungslevel einfach viel zu hoch war. Also denkt bitte auch an das Ruhetraining. Eure Hunde werden es euch danken.

Any breed can be energetic like that my female game bred apbt does same shi a malinois does, it's all about training and the breedings if you breed two high energy dogs together you get all high energy pups that will have 10x more energy then the parents usually

My dog is afraid of huskies and nervous around australian shepards. She had a bad experience with both, but the husky was worse. Any other breed and she is stoked to play!

My dog looks like his and does the same shit. I tell him to sit and he does, but he continues to bark. I got him at the shelter about a month and a half ago, he was already 11 months old. Since I’ve had him he’s been to a pet daycare (for a move cause I didn’t want him barking the whole time we were packing stuff) which he got compliments at, they said he did great. He still is leash reactive. Is the secret just letting them do this until they get tired? Cause he can’t pull me, in fact I can pick him up like he’s a damn puppy and start walking away.

People always confuse territorial with "protection", your dog is not trying to protect you in a case like this, or thinks you NEED protecting, he's showing dominance over his territory and isn't afraid to use force on any and everything that comes in his territory. (Which is you) The reason why showing "leadership" works is not because it explains to the dog that you don't need to be protected, rather you are assuming the alpha roll, and he has to defer to you on whether to attack a threat or not. Or face the consequences.
